Esref Aktas was born on July 7, 1977, in the Yusufeli district of Artvin, Turkey. After completing his bachelor's degree in Mathematics, he pursued a master's degree in the same field. In 2001, he started his career as a Mathematics teacher in Fethiye and taught in state high schools for 17 years. In 2013, he began his studies at the Law Faculty and graduated in 2017, subsequently commencing his legal practice in Fethiye.
In January 2020, he founded Hipokampus, the first office operation in Mugla, with the aim of supporting entrepreneurs. As an international coworking space, Hipokampus started hosting professionals and companies from around the world after the pandemic, and it currently provides its members with free working opportunities in various locations worldwide through its network of over 100 partners.
While practicing as an independent lawyer registered with the Mugla Bar Association, Esref Aktas also manages as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hipokampus AŞ.
He is the husband of Zehra Aktas and the father of Uras and Asya.
